Their drinks were decorated as brightly as the walls, with plastic fish toys in every drink. Bruce and the other two owners (former surfers) decorated the bar with old surfboards, red and blue neon lights, and black and white surf photos.

Bruce Rampick, a native Californian, wanted to bring a little California flavor to upper west side New York.
